Cavendish Advocacy and BECG held a number of events at the Conservative Party Conference 2021 in Manchester on Net Zero, animal trade and ‘Building Back Better’. The conferences provide a unique opportunity to influence and help form policy, as well as be the first to witness key announcements from Government and Opposition.
The construction industry was closed down in the first lockdown. Since then, there’s been a shortage of hauliers, materials and skilled tradespeople. The construction industry is at the heart of the government’s ‘Build Build Build’ agenda and the Covid-19 recovery. This fringe event focused on how the construction industry can drive the economic recovery from Covid-19 and what more needs to be done to allow the industry to do so.
Speakers included:
- Marco Longhi MP
- Kate Henderson – Chief Executive, National Housing Federation
- Brian Berry – Chief Executive, Federation of Master Builders
- Eddie Tuttle – Director of Policy, External Affairs and Research, Chartered Institute of Building
