Taking the leap

Cavendish employees raise over £1,500 in support of the Brain Tumour Charity.

In September 2023, the fourth annual Cavendish charity skydive took place, with four colleagues taking part to raise funds for The Brain Tumour Charity.

The annual skydives have raised over £12,000 for The Brain Tumour Charity since 2019 – a brilliant achievement for an incredible cause.

Executive Director, Gareth Morgan shares his experience of the Skydive:

After (just!) having snuck under the weight limit I had a unique day that will stick with me for a long time. An odd combination of feeling very safe with the instructors but also masses of adrenaline pumping through the system as you look out of a plane door at 14,000 ft. I would encourage colleagues to give it a bash next year!

Each year, around 12,000 people are diagnosed with a primary brain tumour, including 500 children and young people. It continues to be the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in children and adults aged 40 and under.

Currently, less than 3% of the £700m budget dedicated to cancer research in the UK has been allocated to this life-changing disease, but The Brain Tumour Charity is the front runner in the effort to make vital and desperately needed positive change.

They are committed to saving and improving lives, finding new treatments, and offering the highest level of support to every single person that is in need.

Cavendish has been proud to support The Brain Tumour Charity as a charity partner since 2018.
