Our role

Cavendish developed an integrated international thought leadership campaign designed to position BlackLine prominently within global debates around resilience, financial transformation and the evolving role of finance leadership.

Built around original global research, the campaign explored how CFOs and finance leaders were responding to economic uncertainty, operational disruption and demands for greater agility and accountability.

We used these insights to develop a global content and communications programme spanning media engagement, digital campaigns, social content and lead generation activity, positioning BlackLine’s technology and expertise within wider conversations around business resilience and finance transformation.

The programme also incorporated external partner perspectives and broader commentary on the future role of finance leadership, helping strengthen the authority and relevance of the campaign across international markets.

The challenge

As geopolitical volatility, economic uncertainty and technological disruption intensified, finance leaders faced growing pressure to improve organisational resilience, agility and visibility across increasingly complex global businesses.

For BlackLine, the challenge was not simply promoting finance technology, but positioning the business as a strategic partner to CFOs and enterprise leaders navigating operational uncertainty, transformation pressure and changing expectations of the finance function.

The business wanted to strengthen engagement with senior decision makers globally while differentiating its platform within an increasingly competitive SaaS and enterprise technology market.
