How we Assisted
Cavendish was enlisted to support the planning process of the Masterplan. This encompassed an extension to the hotel, the introduction of new spa and leisure amenities and the potential incorporation of outdoor activities accessible to both hotel guests and the public. Additionally, plans were detailed for the development of lodges, luxury cabins, and timeshare/vacation ownership properties.
Faced with substantial local opposition and the formation of anti-groups, Cavendish undertook a comprehensive public consultation program. This involved in-person events and the creation of a dedicated project website to provide locals with easy access to detailed information about the proposed plans. Furthermore, separate meetings with elected members, local residents, and other stakeholders were arranged to enhance engagement, elaborate on plans, and address queries and concerns.

Despite significant local opposition, Planning Permission in Principle was successfully granted by Perth and Kinross Council’s Planning and Placemaking Committee in December 2023.
