Background

Pinnacle International Capital owns the former RAF Pershore airfield in Wychavon, Worcestershire. The site is Pinnacle’s first UK real estate investment.​ 

Cavendish was appointed to help secure a residential-led allocation for the UK’s first zero-carbon new settlement in the South Worcestershire Development Plan and to help secure Government backing to help fund delivery of the necessary infrastructure required to unlock development.​

Cavendish has provided strategic counsel regarding local, regional and national political advocacy from 2019 onwards.​

Our team helped Pinnacle to navigate the regional political and local planning landscape, helping to secure political support for the site’s inclusion as a draft allocation in the submission version of the draft  South Worcestershire Development Plan. ​ 

We also helped the Pinnacle team to build relationships with key regional bodies such as the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce which have helped to guide the strategic planning for Throckmorton Park and align the commercial and employment aspects of the site with regional business ambitions.​ 

Funding opportunities have been identified and relationships have begun to be built between Pinnacle and key government departments.​

Outcome

Our work for Pinnacle is ongoing but at the time of writing Throckmorton Park is one of three ‘growth allocations’ included within the South Worcestershire Development Plan. ​ 

It is expected to see development of around 6,000 homes, 10 hectares of employment units, renewable energy, a new country park, schools and commercial centre up to 2041.​
