Oxford to Cambridgeshire insight report

Working with Savanta, Cavendish polled councillors from the Oxford to Cambridge region to understand their attitudes and priorities when it comes to regional growth. 

50% of councillors believe the growth corridor will have a positive impact and 43% think it will be delivered. When isolated to first term councillors, 20% believe it will have a positive impact and 34% think it will be delivered.

His clients in the region include DLUHC, Homes England, Wrenbridge, Newlands, Taylor Wimpey and Urban & Civic.

He has led the delivery of Cavendish insight in the region, including polling across the Oxford to Cambridge region in late 2024.

Sarah has extensive experience in developing stakeholder engagement and public affairs strategies for clients within the built environment.

With nearly 10 years’ experience, Sarah’s experience in Cambridgeshire includes working with Newlands in South Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire on logistics and industrial schemes, supporting Marick Real Estate with construction communications in Cambridge, advising on an urban extension in Haverhill, and providing engagement support to Crest Nicholson on the RAF Whyton site in Huntingdonshire.

James has significant experience in the region, having spent four years as a communications advisor to the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority on a number of its major transport initiatives.

Most recently, James has supported McDonald’s in engaging with key political figures in Cambridge, and assisting Wrenbridge on its proposals for a cutting-edge, mid-tech scheme in the city.

Outside of Cambridge city, James has supported Taylor Wimpey and Vistry Group to deliver new homes at Cambourne West, and is currently advising Urban & Civic and Hill Group on a large-scale development proposal in South and East Cambridgeshire.

Stephen works on planning communications in and around Cambridge on behalf of private and public sector clients alike. He has worked across a portfolio of infill and regeneration sites in the city, securing consents from the City Council on high-profile sites in challenging contexts.

He has a number of active residential and commercial sites in and around Cambridge and more widely in the county – including the growing development cluster around Huntingdon. He has supported clients including Crest Nicolson, Newlands, Hill Group, Wrenbridge, and McDonald’s engage successfully with politicians and the communities in the region.
