Kevin has a deep understanding of the politics of planning having specialised in political advocacy, community consultation and campaigning for clients across the built environment over the last 13 years.
Leading our team across the North & Midlands, he has experience across the property, energy and infrastructure sectors, supporting clients including Aldi, BAM, CEMEX, Miller Homes, National Grid, Peel and Uniper. He works with local communities and their elected representatives to understand the need for and build acceptance of change to our built environment.
Matthew creates impactful communications strategies that generate excitement and engage target audiences. He has advised the public, private and third sector for over a decade, devising campaigns, managing reputations, securing planning consents and reducing risk for clients.
Combining in-house and agency experience spanning the property, infrastructure and energy sector he has an in-depth understanding of TCPA, DCO and Welsh PAC consultations, with clients including Aldi, National Highways, RES, Serco and United Utilities. Matthew leads our North team in Manchester.
Sean has a deep understanding of local government having served as the leader of a unitary authority and executive member of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority before joining Cavendish.
He remains an elected Labour councillor and uses his insight and experience to advise clients across the North of England on their engagement strategies with politicians and communities across the region. He works with clients including McDonald’s, CEMEX and McCarthy Stone to help navigate the planning process. He has also provided training to the RTPI on how to undertake best practice consultation.
Tom is a seasoned Account Director with over six years’ experience. He excels in creating consultation campaigns for diverse clients in sectors like retail, residential, employment, and energy. Tom liaises directly with key stakeholders, including elected representatives and media outlets. He organises engaging community events, connecting with influential individuals and generating local interest. His expertise lies in effectively communicating sensitive issues and defusing potentially volatile situations. With outstanding leadership and extensive experience, he consistently achieves favourable results for clients.
Carole specialises in community relations and issues management regarding energy and infrastructure developments. She has worked with energy sector clients since 1994 and previously spent more than 10 years with the CEGB. She has been involved in providing communications support for the planning and permitting of power stations, EfW facilities, wind and solar farms and airports. She has vast experience of handling communications during the construction of major projects, getting into the heart of the community.
Mohammad has a strong understanding of the role politics plays in planning and development, using this to support public consultation and political engagement at Cavendish. He has a proven track record across the North in a number of sectors, including retail, residential, energy and infrastructure. His expertise lies in engaging diverse communities, especially those often overlooked in traditional consultation processes.
Indya joined our team in 2022, bringing her expertise gained from her previous role at another communications agency. She has contributed to the implementation of communications and engagement strategies across various sectors, including energy, retail, and residential projects. Indya has experience in supporting on significant infrastructure projects, she was instrumental in the successful running of the statutory consultation for contentious solar farms in Nottinghamshire. At BECG she has continued to play pivotal role in the successful progression of large-scale projects.
Oliver offers a breadth of experience across energy, infrastructure and FMCG. Having worked for a Member of Parliament within the Lake District National Park he is well placed to offer a unique insight into rural communities. With over 5 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, he has represented the likes of RWE and McDonald’s. Oliver is at the heart of day-to-day delivery for many projects across the North as an Account Manager within our Manchester team.
Emily has a strong understanding of the workings of local government and the relationship between councillors and their communities. She demonstrates expertise in implementing engagement strategies across various sectors, encompassing residential, retail, logistics, utilities, and infrastructure projects throughout the North. She plays a pivotal role in planning, updating, and delivering these strategies while liaising with stakeholders and acting as a trusted client representative.
Sophie joined Cavendish in January 2024, bringing with her an expertise in communications and the built environment to provide consultation strategies and carry out stakeholder engagement for a broad range of clients across the North.
Since joining Cavendish, she has supported the delivery of numerous consultations across the residential, retail and infrastructure sector. Her experience includes stakeholder and media engagement, as well as handling public enquiries and drafting consultation materials.
Sophie’s role is instrumental in supporting tailored consultation, from drafting materials to stakeholder engagement. She also has a comprehensive grasp of the typical concerns that communities may raise in response to new proposals across a range of sectors and has experience in managing these queries directly.
