Steven has over 20 years experience working in the Public Affairs and Communications environment and is one of Scotland’s leading specialists in the politics of planning in the built environment sector. Having represented a diverse mix of clients and sectors, Steven’s vast experience coupled with his knowledge and understanding of the political landscape, provides clients with unrivalled strategic guidance and support ensuring that their investments and commercial aspirations are robustly looked after. Steven is responsible for all client projects across Scotland and Ireland.
For over a decade, Tom has advised the UK’s leading organisations and businesses, helping them to achieve real cut-through with government and regulators. Tom has considerable experience in the aviation sector, having previously advised clients including, the Civil Aviation Authority, Regional & City Airports, and Hybrid Air Vehicles.
Prior to entering consultancy, Tom provided policy support to Conservative MPs in Westminster and to the ECR Group’s Transport Spokesperson in the European Parliament. A Conservative parliamentary candidate at the last election, Tom has an extensive network within Westminster and the regions.
Olivia is passionate about delivering engagement and consultation to communities and stakeholders impacted by infrastructure projects. She is currently working with Gatwick Airport supporting their airspace change proposals. She has previously worked on multiple transport projects , including A303 Stonehenge, Thameslink Programme, Metropolitan Line Extension and Abu Dhabi Airport Terminal 2.
She has over 10 years’ experience in developing comprehensive communications strategies which support a project’s development in a meaningful way and putting in place processes which deliver robust and accurate analysis, allowing the narrative of engagement to be clearly reported.
Sam has over 4 years’ experience in built environment communications with a focus on sustainability, delivering integrated and strategic campaigns designed to deliver robust and effective media relations. His area of passion is renewable energy and low carbon technologies, having worked with clients such as Community Energy South, helping to develop their messaging and raise their profile among key audiences.
His passion for sustainable solutions has led to Sam helping to spearhead a range of Net Zero focused projects for Cavendish Consulting, devising campaigns and events for the solar industry.
Tom is an experienced communications professional, with a strong knowledge of both the media and political landscapes. He has over five years’ experience in public relations, public affairs and stakeholder engagement, working with large PLCs such as Bellway Homes to industry associations such as British Berry Growers and Liquid Gas UK. He is responsible for the day to day management and delivery of client activity programmes.
As part of our Midlands team, Alex has an acute understanding of the UK’s infrastructural challenges, and the multi-faceted impacts of these on people’s lives, particularly in rural areas. At Cavendish, Alex has delivered community engagement and public affairs support on a range of major infrastructure projects, including HS2, Midlands Rail Hub and various National Highways schemes.
Improving transport infrastructure is critical to levelling up the Midlands and Alex relishes his role in supporting these organisations to secure planning consents, or funding from DfT.
George has worked in planning communications for over a decade, with vast experience across a range of sectors across the south of England. George has been involved in campaigning for the Conservative Party for almost 20 years in London, Kent and Surrey, giving him an in-depth understanding of the key concerns for local politicians. At Cavendish, George oversees project strategy across a wide portfolio of accounts. Previous and current clients include housebuilders, retailers, renewable energy developers and government departments.
Matthew is a communications professional with strong knowledge of the political environment across the UK and the island of Ireland. He has six years’ experience in government relations, PR and stakeholder engagement working with a variety of private sector clients, membership organisations and trade associations. In addition to this he previously worked for an MLA within the Northern Ireland Assembly. Matthew is responsible for successfully crafting effective campaigns and working collaboratively with clients to meet their goals.
Indya specialises in major infrastructure consultation and recently supported the statutory and non-statutory consultations for two large-scale and locally contentious solar farms in Lincolnshire. She has a strong understanding of the types of issues communities raise in response to proposals for new solar farms and experience of handling these through direct liaison with stakeholder and members of the public. She is currently supporting Cavendish’s work with RES on its proposals for a renewables project including solar and BESS in Nottinghamshire.
